Daycare Safety with Learning Care Group

September 7, 2020motherhood

Thank You so much Learning Care Group for Sponsoring this blog post, as always all opinions are my own. Daycares Near Me

In these current times, health and safety are extremely important as the Learning Care Group, INC works to prevent the spread of COVID-19. To help with this, they are implementing several new procedures in their schools across the country – this includes, but is not limited to staff wearing face coverings throughout the day, health/temperature checks at the door during drop-off, limiting the entry of non-staff/students into the building, and enhanced sanitation procedures.

Enhanced Health and Safety Initiatives

  1. Protective Masks are being put in place
    • Face coverings are required for any adult entering the building (all staff members wear them when working with children). Where required by law or licensing, children must also wear masks.
  2. Temperature Checks
    • Temperature Checks are taking place at the start of every day, upon arrival, as well as checking for symptoms.
  3. Limited Classroom Access
    • To curb the spread of germs and control group size, they are having parents and family members remain in common areas of the center only.
  4. Wellness Checks
    • Regular wellness checks are being conducted throughout the day. The parents of unwell children are notified immediately, to help stop the spread of illness.
  5. Safe Dining
    • They are now only serving pre-plated (or teacher-plated) meals to children.
  6. Enhanced Health Practices
    • They’ve strengthened their already rigorous cleanliness and hygiene practices (such as more frequent hand washing, and increased cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting of surfaces and items in classrooms).

WatchMeGrow System in all Locations

WatchMeGrow is a safe and secure way for parents to get a peek into their child’s day! The cameras are live-streaming, very clear, and are perfect for parents who are busy, deployed, or simply want to check in on their child! This is such an important Safety measure for preschools to take place. Live Streaming Video is one of the things Anthony & I have on our checklist when touring schools for the girls. It gives us a sense of security to be able to check on them whenever we feel needed since they are not under our supervision. When Alyssa was in daycare we loved being able to watch her from the cameras, and receive pictures through the brightwheel app!

  1. Live Streaming Video
    • You can view your child’s classroom on any smart device, or computer, from anywhere, even while deployed, or traveling.
      • Live streaming video
      • Encrypted and tightly controlled
      • Every account authorized individually
      • Intuitive and easy to use
  2. Brightwheel Mobile App
    • When you download the Brightwheel Mobile App you can get real-time updates, photos, and videos from your child’s teachers through our mobile app for parents. La Petite Academy & the Learning Care Group, INC have partnered with brightwheel to provide you:
      • Photos and videos
      • Milestone and learning updates from your child’s teacher
      • Kudos: Teachers have the ability to quickly share out “wow” moments
    • You can even share memories with family members!
      • Retrieve favorite memories by scrolling back through your feed
      • Let others in on the action: grant access to grandparents, friends, etc.
      • Send along photos through text messages, emails, and social media

You can read more here.

The Prep Lab

You guys have heard me say before how we are struggling with Alyssa and virtual school. While she is super smart it is hard for her to focus on the classroom while hearing the rest of the house go about their day as it once was normal to her. La Petite Academy is providing the Prep lab to parents and their school-aged children! The Prep Lab supports school-age students and their families as they face any challenges and changes in their local school district this upcoming school year, with flexible scheduling and even a full-day option.

Your child can take a device from home to complete distance learning assignments with their help. (If you do not have a device, they will do our best to support you.) They’re there to back you up (plus your child’s teachers) and strengthen your child’s ability to finish schoolwork each day.

The Prep Lab teachers are there and ready to:

  • Keep children engaged with their elementary school learning platform
  • Assist students with completing their daily elementary school assignments
  • Share challenging weekly STEM projects
  • Further social-emotional development with character-developing activities from our exclusive My Best Self! curriculum
  • Connect students with their school and teachers, as needed.

You can read more about their Prep Lab and best Self Program here.

Thank you so much for reading! Don’t forget to comment if you have any questions or on Instagram. Visit their website to find a La Petite Academy – or one of her sister schools – near you!

37 weeks bub, we are ready whenever you are ✨

As I have conversation with family & friends... I can’t believe in two weeks I’ll have another little human to love! I can’t wait to see who he looks like, I can’t wait to hold him, I can’t wait to see his dad finally be a boy dad, but most importantly I can’t wait to see the best big sisters in the world welcome their little brother home 💗 there’s absolutely nothing like having a little brother & their bond is what I’m most excited for!

It’s BABY MONTH! 🎉❤️

In just a few days, we will have a little guy that looks just like this guy (based on our ultrasound), and I am so ready to have him here and in my arms! ❤️

I don’t have my hospital bag packed, his carseat installed or his clothes washed, but I’m ready 🤪

Third child syndrome is in full effect 🤣😅

36 Weeks Pregnant! 🤰 We have reached the 9-month mark & bubs will be here literally ANYTIME now! Bub is weighing about 5lbs & 8oz according to my doctor & should weigh about 7lbs & 8oz when he's born just like his oldest sister! Alyssa was 7lbs 8oz & Sissy was 7lbs and 5oz, seems like all my little babes are around the same weight. ⠀

Happy Monday! how was your weekend!? We spent it with Friday’s and enjoyed some company before this little man arrives ❤️

I’m trying to get all the time I can get with my girls & as a family of four before there’s another human to share my time with! Am I the only one that gets anxiety about having another baby & splitting their time with one more person? 😅

However, I’m also really excited to have him here, find my own routine and tackle being a mom of three 🤪

Happy Monday!! How did everyone enjoy their Valentine’s Day? We got up, went to lunch with the girls because I was craving lobster tail for the 10000th time in the last two weeks 🤪 #pregnancycravings Then, we came home and I slept most of the day because #pregnancyinsomnia had me up all night the night before 😫
